Woodworking is a solitary and potentially dangerous hobby; requiring tools and techniques that are inherently dangerous.  When working in the shop it is important to protect your eyes, ears, and lungs, and take great care when using hand and power tools.

Before using any woodworking hand tool or woodworking power tool consult its operating instructions, and, if necessary, seek instruction by a qualified person well-versed in its operation and appropriate safety techniques.
